I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve in this office and I look forward to working with you to further our Order's efforts in tribute to those who answered President Lincoln's call to "Save the Union" between 1861 & 1865. I hereby establish my residence in the City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, and State of California, as the Department Headquarters. Strobridge, of Camp 21, is hereby appointed Department Chaplain pro tempore for purposes of serving as Department Chaplain in the absence of Department Chaplain Ernest Powell at the 119th Annual Department Encampment to be held in San Luis Obispo, California on March 11th and 12th, 2005. The foregoing Department Order is proclaimed this 28th day of February in the year of our Lord two thousand five, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred twenty-ninth, in the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California by Tad D.
