1911 "When the Square was completed it was dedicated to the pioneers and to the Memory of Nevada County boys of Company I, Regiment 8, Volunteers for the Spanish American War." Included in the park is the Columbaid from Fort Point and/or Alcatraz Island Fort via Benicia.
