DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 1
DEPARTMENT ORDER No. 1 PASSING OF SISTER MARCY L. BUNNELL
By the authority vested in me as President of the Department of California and Pacific it is hereby ordered as follows: Section 1: It is my sad duty to report the unexpected passing of Sister Marcy L. Bunnell on December 7, 2008 in Paradise, California, at the age at 53 years. Section 2: Marcy was a Charter Member of both the Dr. Mary E. Walker Auxiliary No. 52 of San José, California and the newly-formed Ivy Stiers Auxiliary No. 23 of Santa Rosa, California. She was a current Trustee of the Department of California and Pacific and of Auxiliary No. 52. She had also served the Auxiliary at various times as Vice-President, Chaplain, and Patriotic Instructor. Section 3: Marcy was also the wife of Past Department Commander Daniel M. Bunnell. Section 4: The Department and all Auxiliary Charters are to be draped in black for a period of thirty (30) days. Section 5: All Department Sisters are respectfully directed to attach a black mourning ribbon to their membership badge for a period of thirty (30) days. Section 6: The Department of California and Pacific extends its sincere condolences to the family of Sister Bunnell and to the Sisters of her Auxiliaries. The foregoing Department Order is proclaimed this 7th day of December in the year of our Lord Two Thousand Eight, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred thirty-second, in the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California by Rachelle M.
